Delegates from Nueviteros analyze the main community issues

Nuevitas, February 1st - In the regular session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power (AMPP), held in this municipality of Camagüey, the delegates and officials rejected the measures imposed on Cuba by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, and discussed various topics of interest for the economic and social development of the locality.

Those present talked about budget execution, compliance with the economic plan, and measures to reduce the fiscal deficit in order to increase the surplus status.

They also addressed the need to properly implement the banking process and Law 148 on Food Sovereignty for the benefit of the local population.

On the other hand, Manuel Santana Bacalao, president of the Popular Council Zona Industria, spoke about the activities of the neighborhood residents and highlighted progress in resolving the concerns of the voters, while noting that issues related to entities such as Housing, the Basic Electric Organization, and Water and Sewerage remain pending.

Carlos Enrique Arévalo Tan, Deputy Director of Medical Assistance in the province of Camagüey, detailed actions taken in health institutions in response to the weather forecasts for the country in the coming days, as well as the attention to the elderly and vulnerable families.

Meanwhile, Manuel Fernández Agrás, president of the AMPP, emphasized that the unity of the delegates and entities of Nuevitas is the main way to solve problems affecting the community, such as crime and insufficient food production.
