Florida faced a complex epidemiological situation in 2025

Florida, January 13th.- During the recently concluded year in Florida, nine thousand nine hundred thirty-six cases of people with febrile syndromes were reported, according to the Municipality's Data Registry for the control of Arboviruses.

According to the same source, just over a thousand IgM tests were conducted during the period to determine the type of condition in patients suspected of Dengue infection or other diseases transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Regarding the incidence of the insect in the municipality of Florida throughout the previous period, it was also reported that two thousand twenty-nine breeding sites of this vector were discovered here, which is more than double the findings reported in the previous year.

Each of these figures was both a cause and consequence of the complex epidemiological situation faced by the people of Florida and the health authorities during the months of 2025.

Without a doubt, it was a difficult year during which, according to some assessments, the number of people infected with the Dengue and Chikungunya viruses could surpass the official statistics of the Public Health system, but it was also a period of intense institutional work to defend the recovery and lives of thousands of Floridians amid such circumstances.
