The Campaign for Declaration and Payment of Taxes 2026 Has Begun

Camagüey. – On January 5th, the 2026 Tax Declaration and Payment Campaign began in the country, as established by Law 181 of the State Budget. The National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) reminds taxpayers of the importance of fulfilling their tax obligations within the stipulated deadlines.

For individuals, the period for paying the Personal Income Tax extends from January 5th to April 30th. On the other hand, legal entities have a shorter deadline, having to make their payments before March 31st. It is important to highlight that partners in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Mipyme), as well as those in the agricultural sector, must also comply with the April 30th deadline.

As an incentive to encourage compliance, ONAT has established discounts for taxpayers who make their payments in advance. Those who fulfill their tax obligations before February 28th will receive a 5% discount. Additionally, if they choose to make their payment through digital gateways, they can access an additional 3% discount.

Osvaldo Fernández Rodríguez, Deputy Director of the Provincial ONAT in Camagüey, spoke to the Digital Editorial Team of Camagüey Television about the particularities of the process, specifically for those who fail to meet the established deadlines.

ONAT urges all taxpayers to take advantage of these benefits and comply with their tax responsibilities, thus contributing to the country's economic development.
