Santiago de Cuba, Nov 11.- Cuba now has Venezuelan specialists and technicians, along with a group of workers from the electrical sector, assigned to assist in the rehabilitation of the road and bridge infrastructure affected by Hurricane Melissa.
This was announced by the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Cuba, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, on his social media platform Facebook, where he mentioned that the flight from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela arrived at the Antonio Maceo Grajales International Airport in this city.
It was reported that the Bolivarian contingent was received by the First Deputy Minister of Transportation, Luis Rosés, and the Deputy Minister of Construction, Ricardo Carbajo Chelala, accompanied by provincial authorities.

The publication specifies that this Venezuelan technical mission has the fundamental purpose of providing specialized assistance in diagnosing and rehabilitating road and bridge infrastructure in the areas most impacted by Hurricane Melissa.
It explains that among the experts in the brigade are specialists in bridges, civil engineers, experts in road management, technicians in roadway works, and specialists in communication routes, along with a group of workers from the electrical sector, whose experience will be key in restoring essential services.

It adds that this gesture of solidarity reaffirms the strategic and fraternal nature of the relationships between Cuba and Venezuela, based on mutual cooperation and knowledge exchange.
The Minister of Transportation also informed that the presence of this technical brigade represents a significant boost for recovery efforts and constitutes a concrete demonstration of the shared will of our peoples to face challenges together and rebuild with dignity.
