Havana, Cuba – The cultural gala Viva-México will return to the stage on Sunday, February 22 at 4:00 pm in the gardens of Teatro Mella; on this occasion dedicated to the 95th birthday of Doña Lolita López, the ranchera voice of Cuba.
Maestro Hugo Oslé, founder and artistic director, spoke about the historic and beautiful brotherhood between these two peoples with great patrimonial loyalty, and emphasized that the audience will enjoy the voices of winners from the contests celebrating the Grito de Dolores, Mexico’s National Holiday.
These celebrations mark their 43rd anniversary since their creation on the Caribbean island, commemorating the national holiday of that country.
The Cultural Journey for the Grito de Dolores honors the historic event that took place on September 16, 1810, when Father Miguel Hidalgo led the armed uprising for Mexico’s independence.
