Guáimaro, February 21st – The "Olympics of Sport for Everyone for Fidel," organized by the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (Inder) in tribute to the centenary of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz and the 65th anniversary of its foundation, had a unique setting at the Joaquín de Agüero y Agüero elementary school. It was there that the special education competitions took place, providing an opportunity to reaffirm that sport is, essentially, a shared right.
The day was marked by the dedication and enthusiasm of the students, who found in each discipline a chance to demonstrate their abilities, strengthen their self-confidence, and coexist in an atmosphere of respect and camaraderie.
Beyond the medals, what was experienced confirms the commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities.
In the easternmost territory of Camagüey, each achievement becomes a symbol of a community that, united with the most dynamic of universes, advances toward sensitivity and unity, and reminds us that sport, when inclusive, also transforms.
