May, 2026.- Linet Moreno Palomares proudly remembers her years as a health collaborator in Brazil. Her years of dedication in the South American giant served to learn about that nation, its customs and traditions, and the warmth of its people.
When talking with her about this unforgettable experience, she assures that she never stopped admiring the geography of the country where she worked with great responsibility, just like the rest of the doctors from the largest of the Antilles, who in each consultation and assigned task demonstrated the deep humanism typical of Cuban physicians.
Time passed and Linet learned to value much more the importance of her profession. In the state of Minas Gerais, municipality of Nova Porteirinha, she cured and healed patients affected mainly by parasitism, Chagas disease, leishmaniasis, and skin diseases, ailments that were most common in the area.
Today, Linet Moreno Palomares recalls that experience, fulfilling the assigned mission more than a duty represented a passage of her existence, seen by her loved ones as proof that it can be done, as the possibility of confirming the worth of the beautiful phrase that states: Solidarity is a piece of life itself, sometimes of entire life, that is given generously and disinterestedly as proof and pledge of love to others, to those in need.
