Feb, 2026.- With clear vision and determination, the protagonist of this page made a dream come true: the creation of the Theater Society in Guáimaro, inaugurated on October 22, 2008.
Productions such as *I Keep Waiting for You*, by the multifaceted Héctor Quintero—writer, actor, director, producer, singer, declaimer, presenter, and narrator—along with *Las Pericas*, by Cuban playwright and novelist Nicolás Dorr, captivated the audience that gathered at the Luz Palomares García cultural center, in the land where the Cuban Constitution was born, eager to enjoy vibrant stage proposals.
The dim lighting of the hall highlighted the open curtain, and although the stage seemed small, the passion of the group's members magnified each performance, drawing sincere and prolonged applause.
The performances pleased both the artists and the sensitive spectator, one who sought in the characters the imprint of ancient legends and unforgettable stories.
The career of intellectual Desiderio Borroto Fernández reveals an upright man, of firm character, devoted to his loved ones, finding serenity in his family roots. A learned professional, admired and respected in Guáimaro, he draws beauty from nature and transforms it into art.
His talent flows with the spiritual strength of the region; his intelligence distinguishes him and has earned him recognition at municipal, provincial, and national levels. The main inspiration behind this story moves between literature, history, painting, and theater, ready to leave indelible marks in each discipline.
