Guáimaro workers committed to reforestation (+ Audio)

Guáimaro, March 18 – Reforestation in Guáimaro represents a vital opportunity to restore local ecosystems and strengthen the community's resilience in the face of climate change.

This municipality, with a rich agricultural and livestock tradition, faces the challenge of recovering areas degraded by deforestation and intensive land use.

Planting native trees not only helps protect biodiversity but also improves air quality, regulates the water cycle, and provides shade and coolness in an increasingly hot environment. Additionally, reforestation can become a driving force for community participation, where schools, cooperatives, and neighbors come together for planting days that reinforce a sense of belonging and care for the territory.
