Price equity analyzed in Guáimaro

Guáimaro, July 12.- Achieving an equitable and fair balance in setting prices for products and services for the population is the objective of the members of the Economic Board in the easternmost of the Camagüey municipalities, who are seeking alternatives to the problems raised by workers in the non-state sector.

To this, the criteria of specialists from the Municipal Inspection Directorate and the Sub-directorate of Employment, belonging to the Municipal Directorate of Labor and Social Security, are added, providing the necessary knowledge regarding the interpretation of the laws governing each activity.

Among the main concerns of Self-Employed Workers and representatives of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) is the lack of markets near the territory to purchase goods, which increases costs and, consequently, selling prices.

Another matter deserving special attention is the price-quality correlation, which does not always correspond to the people's demands.
