Camagüey is gradually restoring transportation services after Civil Defense declared that the province is in the normal phase.
Starting this Friday, the National Provincial Bus Company resumed its departures from Camagüey to the western part of the country, according to the usual schedule, as well as to the capitals of the provinces of Las Tunas and Holguín starting at 12:00 midnight on October 30, said Miguel Arias, provincial director of Transportation in Camagüey.
Regarding the Foton ecotaxi and minibus service, he highlighted that they have already restored their routes without any difficulty, while school transport is ready and available for the education sector for the return of students to schools.
Interprovincial bus service has been restored, but rail service remains suspended. Specialized personnel from the railway transport administration and the Railway Union are conducting a thorough inspection of the track to assess the damage and begin restoration work immediately.
