Camagüey, December 19 - The products included in the regulated family basket for the current December remain almost entirely the same, according to clarifications issued by the Business Group of Commerce (GECI) in the province.
According to this update, the only affected item is coffee, due to limitations with raw material availability in the country.
As previously reported, a first batch of four pounds of rice is delivered per consumer, and in the coming days, it is expected to be completed with a similar amount as soon as coverage increases.
In November, one pound of raw sugar was sold per capita, but by the end of 2025, the distribution will proceed at a rate of two pounds per consumer.
In some municipalities, a partial delivery of 10 of the 20 ounces of peas planned was made, based on inventory stocks, but the completion will take place as soon as the planned quantities for this round are available.
Regarding oil, the company responsible for its commercialization assured that the specialized equipment is in Santiago de Cuba to extract the demanded food product, whose availability will also allow meeting prioritized social consumption.
Both the compote (the eighth round ended only in Camagüey, Najasa, and Jimaguay) and the salt, included in this month’s basket, are awaiting the arrival of new quantities to proceed with their distribution in the units of the commerce system.
