In parallel, the Caribbean Banking Forum will take place on November 26 and 27 at the Parque Central hotel, with the goal of strengthening regional financial integration among countries of the Caribbean Community (Caricom).

During a press conference prior to the event, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Oscar Pérez-Oliva, explained that Fihav 2025 is taking place in an adverse environment due to the multidimensional war unleashed by the United States, reflected in the country by a tightening of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade.

For his part, the President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Carricarte, stated that as of that moment, 47 countries had confirmed their attendance, as well as the European Union, with 25 percent new foreign exhibitors, and the remaining 75 percent continuing participants, demonstrating interest in Cuba.

He added that 240 Cuban companies will participate, including 181 state-owned and 61 private small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), coming from key sectors such as food production, the agri-food sector, health, and biopharmaceuticals.
