Dec, 2025 – With the call to make the community radio station Radio Guáimaro a true reflection of the reality of the people of the town, birthplace of the Cuban Constitution, the Annual Balance Assembly of this mass media outlet was held. The station is distinguished by a team of workers always ready to inform, educate, entertain, and offer genuine love to all its listeners.
In the presence of Alexander Massage Álvarez, member of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Camagüey and first secretary of the PCC in the locality; Pedro Cruz Moisés, director of radio in the Agramontina province; Lázara Castillo Bueno, specialist from the provincial cadre office in Camagüey; Héctor Espisona Sánchez, top representative of the radio broadcasters’ union in Guáimaro; and Alexey Alfonso Ordóñez, head of the sister municipality of Sibanicú’s flagship station, attendees discussed the report and reaffirmed their commitment not to let die the essence of a devoted, beautiful, and above all humanistic, dignified, and revolutionary work.
For more than an hour, what had been done and what remained to be done was analyzed, a time to dialogue and propose ideas, solutions, and possible dreams that could make radio, in these very difficult times of resource shortages, economic crisis, and imperialist siege, a medium of hope, relief, and trust for the families in the region who say farewell to dreaming and good morning to work.
At the meeting, recognition was given to the most outstanding individuals; the program "In Confidence and Among Friends" was honored as the best in the programming lineup; Francisco Collado Alfonso, sound operator, director, and advisor, received the diploma certifying him as the most outstanding person of the year 2025.
Announcer Aurora Nápoles Quiñones, illustrious daughter of Guáimaro and recipient in 2020 of the “Artist of Merit” award from the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), was honored for her tireless work, her contributions to the national radio festival, and her incomparable enthusiasm for the radio station that opens its doors to her day after day, always eager to thank her for her efforts, achievements, and her desire to create with love, for love, and for the love of her people, who respect and dignify her so deeply.
Wishing to close the year 2025 with the charisma that characterizes Cubans, the meeting ended, a moment to recall the words of the unforgettable Fidel Castro Ruz when he said:
