"Improper Player"? Unacceptable in the 64th National Baseball Series

Havana, Nov 11.- The repeated confiscation of games from winning teams for using improper players in the 64th National Baseball Series has truly become unacceptable.

I know that before the start of each season, the officials of the National Baseball Commission (CNB) visit each province, where they analyze even the smallest details alongside the respective management teams, in order to develop an event that remains active despite the countless difficulties facing the country, and consequently, the Inder.

Among the diverse topics discussed "without holding back" in each territory is the one related to competitive regulations, which emphasizes the stipulations regarding the use of players, especially in the pitching area.

I have always appreciated that many take notes with the intention of working based on that regulation, which, once approved, is mandatory.
So, I cannot understand why some management teams make mistakes.

It causes great sorrow among the supporters of a team that, even on occasions when they have come from behind to win a game, the CNB finds itself in the unfortunate position of reversing the result due to fielding an ineligible player.

But I would also like to add that the athlete sent to the field must be aware of their eligibility to be included.
In fact, there are pitchers who ask the coach how many pitches they have thrown. They should be reminded if, by mistake, they are called to warm up during a game for which they are not available.

And there’s more. On each team's roster, there is a sabermetrician who keeps track of every game’s details. They could also provide an alert and clarify doubts for the manager.

The fans of those teams that fail become upset, and social media erupts. Everyone knows that this loss should not have happened and it could even jeopardize a potential playoff qualification.

NEW SUBSERIES THIS TUESDAY

This Tuesday will mark the beginning of the tenth subseries out of the 15 scheduled for each team in the regular phase: Pinar del Río-Guantánamo, Industriales-Las Tunas, Artemisa-Santiago de Cuba, Isla de la Juventud-Granma, Villa Clara-Mayabeque, Camagüey-Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila-Cienfuegos, and Holguín-Matanzas.

Santiago player Yoel Yanqui continues as the batting leader (.466), while Granma right-hander César García boasts the best pitching performance (1.26 ERA).
