In a spirited speech delivered at the provincial event in Camagüey commemorating the 67th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, in Sibanicú, Walter Simón Noris, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), highlighted the heroism of the Cuban people in the face of the aggressive policy of the United States, which coerces and restricts the development of the Island.
Before hundreds of Sibanicu residents gathered in Mario Aróstegui Square, the party leader emphasized the commitment of the people of Camagüey to achieving superior results in various sectors, while underscoring the importance of confronting errors and shortcomings exacerbated by the imperial machinery, which affect the failure to meet targets in several areas of the economy.

Simón Noris called for reversing the current indicators in commercial circulation and food production, as well as strengthening the Socialist State Enterprise, improving the quality of services, and tackling indiscipline and illegalities.
Likewise, he highlighted the importance of unity to increase production levels with the goal of meeting the population's needs.
"2026 must become a year in which all of us, from schools, workplaces..., turn to the land to produce food," he stated.
He also recognized as an example of what can be achieved during the sugar harvest the Siboney sugar mill, located in the municipality hosting the event, whose team contributed 804 tons of molasses as well as 46 megawatts to the National Electric System (SEN).
The secretary reaffirmed the commitment for Siboney to become the best sugar mill in the country, while urging greater efficiency from the sugar giants Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and Batalla de Las Guásimas, which are also about to start milling.
Among the actions being undertaken in the province for the benefit of the people, he highlighted progress in the investment plan in renewable energy sources, with the establishment of new photovoltaic solar parks in Vertientes, Florida, the provincial capital Camagüey, and Guáimaro.

He also expressed the willingness to urgently address concerns regarding the quality of health services, education, water supply, transportation, as well as prices and behaviors such as bureaucracy, complacency, and discouragement, which are counterproductive.
In this regard, Simón Noris called on the entire population to launch a campaign for a more cultured and civic conduct, also in defense of Health and Education, achievements of the Revolution, notably attacked by the Empire.
The words of the first secretary of the PCC in the Agramont province highlighted the role that revolutionary cadres must assume in these times, who must be capable, austere, and committed to the aspirations of the people.

Regarding the process of implementing the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy, he called on the people of Sibanicú and all of Camagüey to defend the commitments and goals defined to raise the level and quality of life of the population, with clarity in the mission and the political and economic tasks; as well as active participation of young people, with their spirit and strength.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee congratulated the people of Camagüey and urged them not to give up or renounce their principles, as taught by the supreme leader of the Cuban Revolution.
He dedicated a special moment to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, praising his legacy, example, and work which we must study and continue, as a worthy tribute in the year marking the centenary of his birth.
“The brave people of Camagüey will not fail,” “Until victory, always,” he expressed at the close of the emotional speech, which became a reaffirmation of patriotism and the will to continue the work rooted deeply in Martí’s and Fidel’s legacy, with everyone and for the good of all.
