Three working commissions were created for exchanging experiences.

Last Monday was dedicated to conferences and analysis of Law 128 on Agroecology. On Tuesday and Wednesday, visits were made to agroecological farms in the municipalities of Playa and Rancho Boyeros, respectively, where Cuban and foreign farmers exchanged knowledge on healthy land management. They had the opportunity to speak with Vice Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca and Félix Duarte, national president of the peasant organization in Cuba, who showed interest in learning about the work carried out on their farm, their achievements, and concerns.

Alina Sifonte Díaz mentioned how enriching the exchanges with other producers have been, affirming that farms of this nature succeed through family unity.

Denis Vega Rojas expressed gratitude to the peasant organization for the invitation to the event, to the Cuban revolution for its inclusive character, and to Fidel Castro Ruz for having considered the Cuban peasantry by providing them with land for food production for the people.

This Friday, they will present their work on Family Agroecology, showcasing to participants the achievements obtained through the daily management of the Las Vegas farm. This interactive space aims to demonstrate the knowledge acquired in workshops they have previously attended, thanks to the CAPROCA Project, which provided them with the tools and resources for the proper practice of agroecology on their farm.
