You are and will continue to be the man who gave hope to the humble, the orator who, with a firm voice and courageous heart, faced the most difficult battles. You are and will continue to be the giant of Cuba and all of America. As Army General Raúl Castro Ruz rightly states: You are irreplaceable!
Your story cannot be contained in words, because it is peace, a dream, magic that turns everything it touches into gold—it is Cuba.
On the ninth anniversary of your passing into immortality, we do not speak of memory, because there is no end for you. You remain alive in the grateful homeland, in the smile of children, in the strength of youth, in the dedication of adults who revere your path. You are still here: energetic as in Moncada, steadfast as in Girón, visionary as in Granma, tender with those who know how to love, enthusiastic and always committed to your people and their Revolution.
