A new anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution arrives, motivated by 2026 being the Year of the Centenary of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, which fills us with a commitment to advance the work of full independence and sovereignty in the Cuban nation.
Indeed, the spirit of resistance, optimism, and faith in Fidel’s victory accompanied us throughout the complex year that just ended; an equally decisive component must encourage the tasks from now on, which promise to be extremely challenging amid a highly controversial and threatening international scenario.
Such challenges can only be faced with the broadest unity and the daily example of leaders at all levels, who consciously motivate the masses to collectively build the country we need, the country outlined by the Moncada Program, still fully relevant and suited for each moment.
Today more than ever, strategic actions demand full popular participation to solve everyday problems, and in Agramontine lands, no one can be satisfied while there are tasks to take on or to warn about inadequate execution, as requested by the highest leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, who know that a well-adjusted motivation sways popular will, an unstoppable force.
It is emphasized that solving problems with the participation of the people, combining control and administration mechanisms with corresponding enthusiasm, thinking and acting as a country, is the only way to succeed and achieve the expected impact.
Remembering and applying for their ongoing relevance what Fidel said here, in Camagüey, when reviewing the difficulties of the socialist camp—a fundamental support for all development at that time—and also forecasting its weakening due to existing contexts, that “even under those circumstances Cuba and the Cuban Revolution would continue fighting and resisting.”
What better tribute to the permanent presence of the Commander in Chief than to demonstrate here the conviction and determination to make that historic premonition a reality through continuous materialization in work and action, with firmness of principles and confidence in the Party as the soul of the Revolution, without neglecting unity, the “apple of our eyes,” as Army General Raúl Castro Ruz called it.
As the Party’s First Secretary, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, recently affirmed, "let us make the work of every action so that this year will be one of deeper study and application of Fidelist thought, to follow his example of tireless work, fidelity to principles, and absolute confidence in the people and in the victory of ideas."
Let us reaffirm in 2026 that this is the people of Fidel and Raúl: conquerors of the impossible!
