Call for Papers Announced for International Scientific Symposium

Guantánamo, Cuba. – With the aim of integrating global scientific knowledge with local wisdom, the Guantanamo scientific community has convened the International Symposium for the 30th anniversary of Alejandro de Humboldt National Park, scheduled from November 20 to 26 in Baracoa.

Yamilka Joubert Martínez, director of the Alejandro de Humboldt Center for Technological Services (CESAT), extended an invitation to scientists, academics, producers, entrepreneurs, and students to participate in this event, which will serve as a platform to present research, engage with experts, and explore this UNESCO World Heritage site.

The topics will range from the conservation of fragile ecosystems and adaptation to climate change to the role of artificial intelligence in science, public policies, environmental law, sustainable production systems, among other subjects.

Those interested in submitting papers must send their short abstracts by May 30. A scientific committee will evaluate the rigor and contribution of the proposals, with acceptance notifications by June 15, while extended abstracts will be accepted until July 15.
