There are plenty of examples to explain that something is wrong, perhaps very wrong, in quite a few institutions and ministries in the country, because when a citizen needs to raise an issue or has a complaint regarding the service provided by the entity in question, they find themselves obliged to look for a friend of someone who works there or, if possible, turn to higher authorities. Another variant that has proliferated is posting complaints and dissatisfaction on digital networks.
That is to say, if I have a partner or a friend, I get things done; otherwise, I will have to take my business elsewhere.
Let's take an example: Have you ever had to arrange for the cutting down of a tree that, with the slightest gust of wind, threatens to fall on your porch, your balcony, or destroy the electrical wires running in front of your house? This becomes a much bigger headache if several agencies are involved in the solution, as there are numerous instances where the citizen ends up acting as messenger and mediator between one and another.
Beyond the inefficiency of the agency responsible for the management, if the top representative of that activity does not embrace the concept of being a public servant, then the solution becomes even more complicated.
However, if that agency is criticized on social media, there is a high percentage chance that the problem will be resolved. And the best part is that all ministries, institutions, and entities that provide services have departments dedicated to public attention, which might seem like a euphemism or a mockery.
It goes without saying that with the rapid development of digital networks, they have become a great ally of the citizenry.
In recent times, and facing the same problems and tensions as their counterparts, the management of the Ministry of Transport stands out in responding to complaints and proposals from the population. There, the treatment and agility demonstrated in responding is significant, with the personal efforts of its minister even occupying a prominent role.
The unfortunate thing is that this is not the case in other entities, and frequently, many people with minor issues approach the top officials and take them away from their real functions.
Life has shown that there are as many management variants as there are personal characters and situations. For many years, "sociolismo" has also gained strength, which is nothing more than solving my problems through a partner— a reality far removed from the socialist project we are building.
