Ramallah, Nov 23 - The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) warned today of an imminent social explosion in the occupied West Bank, as a result of the increased attacks and violations carried out by Israeli troops and settlers.
In a statement, the leftist organization considered that a third intifada (uprising, in Arabic) is closer than ever.
As an example of the crimes committed in the West Bank, it cited yesterday's killings of two Palestinians aged 16 and 18 in the town of Kafr Aqab, located north of the occupied East Jerusalem area.
The PFLP denounced Israel's disregard for Palestinian blood and condemned the systematic attacks by Jewish settlers.
Such actions will be "the spark that will burn what remains of the illusions of calm," the group assured, noting that "the accumulated Palestinian anger will erupt like lava in the face of the occupation."
"Our people face a monstrous entity, led by a criminal system that combines megalomania with the sadistic enjoyment of blood," the party said.
It stated that "the practices of burning, destruction, and attacks against civilians reveal a rooted racist and fascist ideology and a pathological psychological makeup of a group of murderers."
Palestinians will not stand idly by in the face of this criminal sadism nor will they kneel before the terrorism organized by Israel, it stressed.
"The occupation is fooling itself if it believes that the escalation of crimes will bring calm. Rather, it will be the fuel that unleashes tremendous revolutionary energy that will impose a comprehensive confrontation and turn the West Bank into a war of attrition zone for the enemy," it pointed out.
