Camagüey, November 20 — More than 14 companies from both the state and non-state sectors will represent the province of Camagüey at the 41st edition of the Havana International Fair, scheduled from November 24 to 29.
This event, explained Juan Ricardo Poll Gean, director for Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment, International Economic Cooperation, and International Relations in the region, will provide an opportunity to showcase the province's strengths in food production, energy, science, technology, and innovation, with the aim of securing future exports.
He explained that Camagüey has 24 products and six services in its portfolio, highlighting among the main offerings for the foreign market lobster, sea cucumber, “cobo,” shrimp, honey, charcoal, as well as the biotechnological products Porvac and Gavac.
Iris Jiménez Valero, territorial delegate for Camagüey-Ciego de Ávila of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, added that the local booth will display these and other options, including Mambí coffee, an attractive proposal that the Provincial Tourism Company of Ciudad Santa María will promote during the event.
She emphasized the participation of the Camagüey Beverage and Soft Drink Company with its Puerto Príncipe rum line, whose bottle design received a mention at the previous fair, as well as the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets presenting a collection of guayaberas for men and jewelry made from coconut.
In the event, she added, Geocuba, the Santa Cruz del Sur Industrial Fishing Company, and the Ruta Invasora Grain Agroindustrial Company will take part, along with a representation from the non-state sector such as the micro, small, and medium enterprises Renova SURL and Alfonso Tercero, and the Local Development Project Casa Madiba.
