Camagüey, Aug. 27.- The University of Camagüey "Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz" is conducting enrollment for first-year students entering Higher Education in all its modalities: regular daytime course, encounter course, and distance learning.
From August 26 to September 18, residents of the Camagüey municipality are visiting the institution's main headquarters to formalize the process, which is supported by the General Secretariat and its equivalent structures in the faculties and the Institute of Marxism, History, and National Security, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Dr. C. Yanetsy García Acevedo, the institution's Director of Training, explained that, in the case of encounter and distance learning courses, the process is extended until October 18.
To do so, they must present an ID card, or an updated passport for international students, four 1×1 photos, a high school diploma and a photocopy, a certification of completed grades, a BANDEC bank card, if held, and for males in the Daytime Course, the certificate of completed Military Service.
Dr. C. Alicia Rodríguez Gregorich, the institution's First Vice-Rector, highlighted that, due to the current conditions in the country, which limit travel between municipalities and provinces, other alternatives were adopted to complete enrollment.
In this way, the process is also being carried out at the University Centers (CUM), while students residing from Ciego de Ávila to Guantánamo, enrolled in programs offered in Camagüey, will be able to do so at their respective universities or municipalities.
On this occasion, the Agramontino campus and its structures will handle the enrollment of those entering the Central University of Las Villas "Marta Abreu", the University of Havana, the University of Computer Science (UCI), and the University of Las Tunas.
In the case of enrollment re-registration, performed by continuing students, it will take place starting from September 7, a date that coincides with the resumption of teaching activities for those years, for which the same alternatives will be used.
The official course commencement ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 3, at the central campus of the University of Camagüey, dedicated to the Centenary of the Birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
