Guáimaro, Aug. 24.- Following the guidelines from the Ministry of Higher Education regarding enrollment for the 2026-2027 academic period for new students and re-entries of all types of courses, the Municipal University Center of Guáimaro specifies the organizational details of this process in the locality.
Master of Science Yilmys Renato Pascual Sánchez, director of the institution affiliated with the University of Camagüey "Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz," informs that the Guáimaro campus of the House of Higher Studies will host the enrollment of those starting or rejoining Regular Daytime Courses from different universities in the country, as well as those interested in specialties of the Encounter Course, starting from September 1st and throughout the month.
Likewise, he mentions that to guarantee the success of this process, a work system through popular councils has been planned, with the support of authorities, to summon young people beginning their university studies.
The decentralization of higher education teaching processes and activities toward the territories implies attention, from the municipality, to Guáimaro students from different universities.
Regarding this, Pascual Sánchez highlights the connection with university students in the area through systematic communication and participation in activities that contribute to their comprehensive training, as well as local development.
Regarding professional training in the Encounter Course modality, the director explains that it will be developed, fundamentally, through semi-presential activities, with the support of digital media and study guides.
The 2026-2027 school year will take place amidst a national scenario marked by the sharpening of the fuel shortage situation in the country, caused by the aggressive policy sustained by the United States government against Cuba.
