Informed about the normalcy of work and educational activities in the country

The Presidency's website, on its account on X, published this Sunday that "the information circulating on social media and attributed to the Presidency of the Republic of Cuba, about an alleged cessation of activities in the country, is not true," and called on our people to continue obtaining information through official channels.

In this regard, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security denied "the false and malicious statement" circulating on social media regarding the suspension of all work and social activities starting today, January 12.

It affirmed that the content of said document does not come from any Cuban government institution. Its objective is to spread misinformation.

It called on the people to stay informed through official channels, the People's Power Organs, and the main Social Communication media on their various platforms.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cuba announced that teaching activities continue throughout the country.

In an official note, it stated that there has been no restriction, suspension, or modification, and that nothing limits the normal development of the teaching-educational process.

It urged families and students to stay informed through the usual official channels for any clarification. In any situation, the Ministry of Education will always issue the necessary communication, which will also be detailed and contextualized in each educational institution.
