Actions are taken in Guáimaro to confront abusive and speculative prices (+Photos and Video)

Guáimaro, March 30 - As part of the actions in Guáimaro to address and control abusive and speculative prices, the Municipal Administration Council (CAM) decided to carry out surprise visits to the different sales points of Urban, Suburban, and Family Agriculture in the territory.

The main objective is to address the excessive increase in products that today are essential for the people, without any justifications for it.

In a coordinated and collegiate manner, the (CAM) periodically makes adjustments to the prices of agricultural products in consultation with producers, specialists in Finance and Pricing, and self-employed workers themselves; however, in the easternmost of the municipalities of Camagüey, the violation of prices for essential products such as rice, plantains, cassava, pumpkin, and chili peppers, to name just a few, is a reality.

In the fight against this scourge, a permanent effort is urgently needed not only from those with institutional responsibilities but from the entire population, called upon to take an active role in inspection in every neighborhood.
