Guáimaro, July 29.- Under the precept that "Cuba is not condemned," the monthly meeting of general secretaries of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) was held in the easternmost municipality of Camagüey.

The meeting led to a broad debate regarding the need to properly implement the 176 measures proposed by the Cuban Government to revitalize the economy.
Addressing the main problems in agriculture and making the 72,000 hectares of idle lands in the Aguanmontino territory productive constitute priorities in order to increase the local gross domestic product.

Among the main transformations, social policies are reaffirmed, along with subsidies for people rather than products, as well as the modernization of the electrical, banking, and business systems.
