Havana, March 2nd.- The Vitier García Marruz House in this capital city announces its cultural programming for March, which today includes concerts, graduations of young musicians, and a tribute to the poet Juana Borrero.
The month will begin on the 9th with the event "Visitations" and the start of the "Juana Borrero: From Shadow to Light" series, dedicated to the life and work of this outstanding Cuban intellectual.
At the event, scheduled for 4:00 p.m. local time, the album "Juana Borrero, the Passion of the Dream" will also be presented, announced the cultural center, whose headquarters are located in the historic center of the Old Havana municipality.
Music will take center stage on several days, such as the concert by the Cuban Typical Ensemble on the 18th and the French music cycle for organ and voice, performed by Ramón Leyva and the Vox Cordis choir, which will take place on the 20th at the Church of the Holy Spirit.
On Saturday the 21st, at 4:00 p.m. local time, the Z-Saxos saxophone quartet will perform, and young talent will have its place with the graduations of viola, oboe, and violin students from the University of the Arts (ISA), scheduled for the 16th, 23rd, and 27th respectively.
Additionally, on the 21st at 10:00 a.m. local time, there will be a guided tour titled "Ancient Instruments of Old Havana" to discover historic organs.
The programming includes free children's workshops in singing, drawing, art appreciation, and chess, which will be held every Thursday and Friday.
These initiatives aim to foster creativity and artistic learning in children, with registrations open at the institution itself.
Chamber concerts will close the month with performances by the Entrevoces and D’Profundis choirs, directed by maestro Digna Guerra, on the 28th at 4:00 p.m. local time.
