Camagüey, July 20.- Despite many limitations and delays in deliveries, the province maintains the distribution of several products from the regulated basic food basket.
Bernardo Colón, a specialist from the Business Group of Commerce, specified that the arrival of Chinese rice donated to the country is awaited, which would allow, as previously reported, the free distribution of three pounds per person in the province.
Likewise, peas are available to complete the 30 ounces per consumer that were pending in the territories of Guáimaro, Camagüey, Florida, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, and Sibanicú.
Only Nuevitas is left to complete the third round of fruit compote for children, while powdered milk for the zero-to-six-month segment is being commercialized, covering part of July.
Progress is being made in the sale of ten ounces of black beans per consumer, and salt is available to settle debts in areas of Camagüey and Santa Cruz del Sur, at a rate of one kilogram per household.
Highly demanded items such as oil, coffee, and sugar do not have coverage for sale, at least for the moment.In the case of cigars, a recent arrival allows for their sale for the current month in Santa Cruz del Sur, Vertientes, and Sibanicú, and to complete the May quota in Nuevitas, Minas, Guáimaro, and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes.
