The priority in Guáimaro is the comprehensive education of boys and girls.

Guáimaro, Nov. 23 – Preschool education aims to ensure the maximum integral development of children from 0 to 6 years old. This goal highlights the need for qualified personnel who can take on the responsibility of educating new generations from their earliest stages.

The Municipal University Center (CUM) of Guáimaro currently enrolls 42 students in the Preschool Education program, divided into two study modalities. In the three-year program, there are two students, one of whom is expected to graduate in 2026. In the five-year program, there are 40 students, of which 16 could complete their studies in the same year.

The program coordinator, Ángela Susana Pose García, reported that graduation is scheduled between July 8 and 28 of the coming year.

To guarantee the preparation of future educators, the CUM has a faculty composed of 15 specialized professors. Among them are a full professor with a doctorate in Educational Sciences, eight with master's degrees, six with bachelor's degrees, as well as four teaching assistants, nine aides, and two instructors.

Additionally, two students participate in the research project "Building Capacities for Sustainable Socioeconomic Transformation in Livestock Communities," an initiative aimed at promoting role-playing games in rural areas from early ages in order to strengthen the comprehensive education of children in those contexts.
