Camagüey, Nov 11.- With valuable contributions, the Territorial Division of the Telecommunications Company of Cuba, Etecsa, in Camagüey is joining the expressions of solidarity with the families in Eastern Cuba following the passage of Hurricane Melissa in the last days of October.
In response to the call made by the leadership of this entity and the Central Workers' Union of Cuba, the different departments within it made donations, which include clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies such as detergent and soap.
“A gesture of humanity and love from the people of Agramonte that fills us with pride,” stated Aliuxka Xiques León, secretary of the extraterritorial bureau of the entity, who added that this contribution is in addition to the delivery of several brigades in Santiago de Cuba and Granma.
The people of Agramonte, through political and mass organizations, as well as institutions, are offering their contributions to the donations collected in the municipalities of the territory to send to the areas affected by the hurricane in the eastern region.
The shipments predominantly include items for children and elderly individuals, and in every contribution, regardless of its size, there is crucial aid for those affected who have lost their belongings and now face the arduous task of rebuilding their lives and communities.
