"For Our History," an activity led by the Guáimaro Municipal Museum, offers pioneers and educators a journey into the past, with the goal of contributing to the cultural heritage and defending the traditions and idiosyncrasies of the town.
As a result of the initiative, primary school students in Camagüey's easternmost municipality are currently touring exhibitions of antique objects, plazas, and iconic sites.
Specialist Yaniellis Rojas Morales explains that the Ana Betancourt Museum-Mausoleum complex is the first stop on the tour, where children receive a detailed explanation of each exhibit and object.

The program continues with a visit to Constitution Park, where the obelisk in memory of the constituent patriots, declared a National Monument, is located, as well as the bust on Liberty Avenue in memory of General Calixto García Íñiguez, who fought in the Three World Wars.
The preservation of local memory, more than the foundation of the Guaimaro institution's work, becomes a motivation to contribute to the teaching of Cuban history by understanding the events and personalities who left a legacy in this land.
