Havana.- From a sector such as sports, a symbol of peace and solidarity among peoples, we join in condemning the military aggression against Venezuela, an expression of state terrorism practiced and encouraged by Yankee imperialism.
We reject this very serious violation of International Law and the principles and purposes of the United Nations, carried out with the aim of plundering the natural resources, especially oil, of that brotherly country.
We reiterate our support for its legitimate president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the Popular, Military, and Police Fusion of Venezuela, as well as the goal for Latin America and the Caribbean to be a zone of peace.
We make our own the demand for proof of life of him, and his immediate release, and raise our voices as part of the condemnation from governments, personalities, and organizations inside and outside the Island.
With the strength that emerges from reason, let us say no to the macabre plan to impose a regime change in favor of a puppet government aligned with the interests of the empire, and hold high the banners of unity, alongside a Bolivarian Revolution with full legal legitimacy and the right to defend itself.
Inspired by Bolívar, Martí, Chávez, and Fidel, let us show the world that Venezuela is not alone!
