Port-au-Prince,Nov 4 - The government of Haiti has declared a State of Emergency, which will help accelerate recovery efforts following the disaster caused by the rains associated with Hurricane Melissa, local media reported today.
This measure will be implemented in the departments of Sud, Sud-Est, Grand-Anse, Nippes, Ouest, and Nord-Ouest.
It will be valid for three months, extending until February 3, 2026, specified the digital site Noticias Kominotek.
