Camagüey, January 29 - Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, today led the extraordinary plenary sessions of the Party in the provinces of Las Tunas and Camagüey, as part of the cycle of meetings taking place throughout the country to analyze the priorities for the year 2026.
According to the Presidency of the Republic's official X account, both meetings were attended by the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales Ojeda, as well as the highest political authorities of the territory.
At the center of the debate were the province's commitments to face the challenging year 2026, as well as the country's priorities and how they are managed from the Party.
Meanwhile, at the Provincial Committee plenary in Camagüey, the main political leaders of the territory outlined the plan designed for the year, which gives priority to food production, increasing exports, and greater income generation, among other fundamental economic objectives.
The Presidency highlighted in its message that both plenaries evaluated the role that Party membership must play in each locality to guarantee the fulfillment of these commitments.
These meetings are part of the extensive cycle of extraordinary plenary sessions that the Party is conducting throughout the country during this month.
