Feb, 2026 – The anniversary of Guáimaro’s founding is more than just a date on the calendar: it is an opportunity to pay tribute to its roots, to remember those who shaped its identity, and to project towards the future the values of freedom and dignity that distinguish it.
Its streets, squares, and monuments come alive, reaffirming that the town, protagonist of the signing of the First Constitution of the Republic of Cuba in Arms, is and will continue to be a place where history beats with strength and pride.
This was expressed by the amateur artists of the Luz Palomares García cultural center, joined by the community project Sosa Dance, belonging to the Martí popular council, organizers of the Plaza Tomada event.
