Guáimaro, February 23rd – Outstanding educators from Guáimaro are already enjoying photovoltaic solar energy in their homes thanks to systems that provide a better quality of life amid the country’s complex situation regarding electricity generation due to severe fuel shortages.

Teacher Marielys Portales Escalona, from Joaquín de Agüero y Agüero Elementary School, expresses her gratitude for the opportunity to purchase with payment facilities a kit consisting of a cell and a 1200-watt energy storage station, as recognition of her effort in the educational sector.
"I feel excited," she says, thankful to have been considered among so many great teachers, while talking about the benefits of the module for lesson preparation, family life, and also to stay up to date with the news.

Doctor of Science Ricardo Carmona Hernández, professor at the Municipal University Center, views the installation of one of the panels awarded in the area at his home as an encouragement to continue contributing to higher education in Guáimaro.

"They have taken me into account, which is very important," he/she states and, subsequently, highlights the benefits of that source of electricity, both at home and in his/her professional work, to provide better service to the students.

The installation of photovoltaic modules in the homes of workers in prioritized sectors, such as education, demonstrates the State’s commitment to advancing the development and use of renewable energy sources, in line with the strategy for transforming the national energy matrix.
