Jan, 2026.- These are the current members of the group: Los Vaqueros del Blanquizal. Guáimaro, everyone knows, is not just a rural band; they are the voice of the land, cradle of the first Cuban Constitution, the echo of the hills, and the whisper of the streams that accompany every chord. Their music is root and horizon, memory and future, a bridge that connects generations with the strength of tradition.
Each performance is a collective embrace, a moment where the community recognizes itself in their melodies and takes pride in its identity. These soul musicians do not only perform songs: they convey stories, emotions, and the dignity of a people great in their simplicity.
The warmth of their art is measured in applause and in the way their notes become hope. Their verses, as many affirm, caress nostalgia and awaken the pride of Guáimaro.

The Vaqueros del Blanquizal are and will forever be regarded in their homeland as guardians of culture, sowers of joy, and custodians of a legacy that charms and elevates.
This year, the inspiring group behind this page celebrates its 85th anniversary since its founding, as rightly stated by cultural promoter Ewal Nieves; with guitars and marímbula in hand, much montuno music and a great dose of love also flow in songs like "Homenaje a los Vaqueros," "Los cañonazos," "Son de los González," "Mar y cielo," "Mi amigo el Ronco," and "Como suena la timba."
On January 25, 2026, they honored the studios of Radio Guáimaro with their presence, the station that invites and welcomes them. (Photo taken from Facebook)
