Feb, 2026.- For more than sixty years, Cuba has faced an economic and political blockade aimed at halting the development of a project led by the eternal Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, a historical figure who marked generations and whose influence inspires both admiration and insightful debate.
The passage of time does not erase the consequences of this policy, but it does reaffirm the resilience of a people who have known how to turn adversity into strength. The oft-repeated phrase, “The blockade imposed by Washington administrations against the island has made Cubans stronger,” remains relevant, because throughout all these periods, the island has learned to transform external pressure into creative capacity and solidarity.

During his leadership, Fidel promoted social policies that prioritized justice and popular participation, boldly combating Washington's strategies. The Cuban Revolution, beyond its borders, earned the distinguishing mark of being a political, cultural, and economic reference, impacting Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
Despite the restrictions imposed since 1962, the green caiman that seems to rest in the waters of the Caribbean maintains its internationalist vocation and sovereignty, accumulating victories expressed in messages of peace and in the support of numerous countries demanding the end of the embargo.
Today, the island continues to reaffirm that its history is not limited to resistance but is also written in terms of dignity, independence, and a will for the future.
