The whereabouts of Maduro are unknown, says the vice president

Caracas, Jan. 3 - The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stated today that the whereabouts of the constitutional head of state, Nicolás Maduro, are unknown following the U.S. attack on the South American country earlier this morning.

In statements to the multinational network Telesur, Rodríguez demanded that Washington provide proof of life of the president and the first lady, the First Combatant Cilia Flores.

The Vice President affirmed that Maduro had anticipated the possibility of a U.S. attack, knowing what the current administration, led by Donald Trump, is capable of.

The Government of Venezuela denounced the aggression against military and civilian sites in Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.

Reactions condemning the U.S. aggression have been abundant from various parts of the world.
