Guáimaro, February 12 - The recent measures by the United States government against Cuba have a significant impact on transportation, a sector in Guáimaro that is announcing adjustments in response to the current energy situation.

The sector delegate in the municipality, Benedicto Osoria Machado, states that the provisions promote the saving of oil and gasoline, while prioritizing support for Public Health, the distribution of products in the regulated family basket, and the transport of flour for bread production.

Osoria Machado explains that due to the fuel shortage, it became necessary to limit the Medibus trips to the provincial capital to two weekly frequencies, with departures on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

He also highlights the use of alternative means, such as carts, for the supply of products and services to entities in the municipal seat; and agreements with private owners of electric tricycles for the internal movement of medical personnel in emergencies, ensuring blood donation services, and funeral services.

The official reports that passenger transportation to the communities of Yamagual and Monte Grande, as well as the Guáimaro-Havana bus, are suspended until further notice.

Regarding the marketing of tickets, confirm the sale of capacities only for express services departing from the cities of Camagüey and Las Tunas to the capital.

Customers who reserved for the canceled services can return their tickets at any automated agency in the country or through the Viajando app, and will receive a 100% refund of the ticket price within up to 30 days from the scheduled travel date.

Likewise, the Transportation representative in Guáimaro highlights the placement of inspectors at the boarding point of the terminal, with the aim of speeding up the movement of travelers in vehicles arriving at that station located on the Central highway.
